Code 3 Announces First of its Kind Bacteria Killing Patient Compartment Light Powered By Vital Vio
ST. LOUIS, DECEMBER 18, 2017
Code 3®, Inc., a leading manufacturer and developer of light and sound emergency products, today announced the launch of its new germ killing Patient Compartment Light Powered by Vital Vio.
Code 3’s Patient Compartment Light powered by Vital Vio’s VioSafe™ White Light Disinfection™ Technology multi-tasks by providing continuous disinfection of bacteria on objects and surfaces, while providing safe illumination with its precisely engineered wavelengths of visible light. Vital Vio’s lighting technology is proven effective in killing bacteria and other harmful organisms including: MRSA, Salmonella, E. coli, and C. diff.
The continuously disinfecting Patient Compartment Light, used in combination with regular intermittent cleaning, dramatically reduces deadly germs. It is safe for workers to perform normal course operations while these lights are in use, as opposed to ultraviolet (UV) lighting methods that require downtime. Code 3’s Patient Compartment Light easily installs and integrates with existing overhead fixtures, and is Triple-K compliant.
“We were able to integrate Vital Vio’s VioSafe™ antibacterial technology into our existing Patient Compartment Light – allowing for easy installation inside industry standard seven inch cut outs, and for easy retrofit into existing ambulances,” said Bryan Lohbeck, product manager, Code 3.
Code 3’s Patient Compartment Light Powered by Vital Vio is 9.0 inches in diameter and 0.5 inches in depth. Units operate on 12-24VDC systems. The Patient Compartment Light is KKK-A-1822F certified, AMD compliant, and internationally certified by IEC and UL. Each model comes with a 5-year warranty.
